Thanksgiving

hello people!
another warm week here in the rio grande valley. the cold weather has gone away and it's been back in the 80s. people have already started decorating their houses for christmas. it's definitely a different look. instead of glistening through the snow, it blows in the warm night breeze through the palm trees. i could get used to it.
tim is still doing awesome. he got an answer to his prayers about joseph smith being a prophet and now he's just unstoppable. except he didn't make it to church this week because his wife was in the hospital. we also found out this week that his wife is pregnant. that's fun. but he has been reading the book of mormon like a madman and he's great. he'll be getting baptized in december.
christian's baptism was nice/funny. his dad, who is a recent convert, baptized him. and we realized when it was too late that we probably should have instructed him on how to baptize a little better. christian went under the water just fine, but his dad didn't really know how to help him back out of the water. he grabbed him by the back of the neck and then christian just kind of had to splash around until he could get himself back up. ha. but they all joked about it after and it was funny. he will now never forget his baptism.
well, in the spirit of thanksgiving, i made a list this morning of some things that i am grateful for today:
-clean refrigerators
-homes that you can feel the spirit in
-my calling to serve the lord
-the fact that i get to spend my days meeting and spending time with people from all walks of life
-naps
-laughing
-silk chocolate soymilk
-p-days
-christmas songs
-pondering
-my companion
-e-mailing my family

i am going to make a list everyday. what are you all grateful for today?
well, i'm about out of time. hope you're all enjoying scraping the ice off of your cars. happy thanksgiving!
love,
sister morrill
