Oh Poop!

hello everybody!

today i got pooed on by a bird. it was horrible, because here we have these huge nasty black birds here that are the size of watermelons and they make these weird alien war cry sounds instead of chirping. so, naturally, their poop is not just that normal white milky poop, but it's like real human poop. only a little smaller. anyway, it hit my jacket (thank goodness it wasn't my face) and it smelled horrible. right in the walmart parking lot after getting our groceries. luckily we had just bought toilet paper so we ripped it open and wiped off. anyway... i was just starting to think that birds weren't so bad. but now i hate them again.

this was a good week. we found these two guys (neighbors) named fred and tim. they should be getting baptized on december 5th. they are super awesome. we'll hopefully get tim's wife, kim, in on it too. but she's seeming to be a tougher cookie. anyway, tim said that he had been praying lately that he could get his life back on track and start going to church again. and then we showed up. he told us he knew it was an answer to his prayers. he loves that we can answer his questions, and that the book of mormon can answer his questions, and he is so gung-ho. he's awesome. he was in the army and was in iraq back when things were pretty bad. he's seen some pretty gruesome things. but he is great.

this week our investigator christian is finally getting baptized. have i told you all about him? we've been teaching him ever since my first week here in mission again. so, almost three months. anyway... it has been lots of drama but he is finally doing it and he is so excited and so awesome. he is going to serve a mission.. i know it. he's 21. he's legit. both of his parents are converts as well. and his sister one day will get baptized too, i know it. anyway, we've seen lots of miracles with him and faith building things and answers to prayers and he's awesome.

that's about all i have for today. it's cold here. like 68 degrees. i've been wearing scarves. hope everyone is doing well. until next week!
love,
me
