Back to Mission

hello everybody!

what a long and great week. we had an awesome lesson with hilaria's husband who has never been to a church since the day he got married. the spirit was very strong and he came to church the next day and read from the book of mormon. he is awesome. their whole family was there for the lesson, including the daughter that is already married, her husband and baby. they all were listening intently and asking questions about the book of mormon. i have a really good feeling about that family. also, i don't remember if i had told you all about ernie but he is awesome. we've been teaching him for a little bit now and he has been afraid to pray about the book of mormon. but we finally convinced him to do it. he did it sunday morning and got his answer. he said that a little while after he prayed he was just sitting and reading a little more and meditating and then all of the sudden a big gust of wind came and the rain started pouring. and then he just felt this overwhelming sense of peace and warmth and he knew that it was the answer to his prayer. he came to church for the first time that morning and he wants to be baptized in october.

sister eisley, carlos and i saw a lot of miracles this past six weeks. it was a little bit sad to find out i would be leaving. yes. i got the call saturday night that i would be transferred on tuesday. but... guess where they sent me? back to mission! i'm actually very excited about it. i am currently writing you all from mission. i'll be serving in a different area so i won't get to go back to all my old people, but it's close enough. my companion, sister peterson, is new to the mission.. she has a good six weeks under her belt. she is so sweet. she actually is from south jordan and went to bingham and we have a few friends in common. she is very sweet and i'm excited to see what happens down here. we're pretty much starting from scratch with 0 baptismal dates right now and about 0 progressing investigators.. so if anybody needs extra things to pray for, you can pray for us to find the people who need us. we'll need some miracles around these parts.

anyway... things are well with me. the weather is cooling down a lot and i'm just adjusting to the changes. i love changes though. hope things are well with all of you. until next week...
